Quaint old house. The fried food was fried not greasy. If it is supposed to be spicy it is. Every dish we had was excellent. Service was timed perfectly. Nothing to complain about.

From start to finish a wonderful experience! We were sat immediately and were asked which dining area we would like. We chose the large window area to watch the river & all the things! Our server was Alley & she had cocktails in front of us within moments! House Pinot Grigio was on point! We never can find great wine when we are out and about -but Angela’s offers excellent choices. The crab dip was delicious! Hubs couldn’t stop eating it! Rolls were yummy as well. Couldn’t stop eating the Summer Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette! We shared the Stuffed Cod & collard greens. I could eat that every day! The ambiance was on point with the view-great music and service! Angela’s on the River restaurant is hands down the Best Experience we have had in the State! We travel a lot and always have something go array or the flavor is off. Not here! Being a fellow restaurateur I’m super picky but I settle bc for me I’m just grateful to get out. You need to run to Angela’s and enjoy the better things in life without breaking the bank! Prices are affordable and the Owner was my leader back in the 80’s and 90’s. So she knows excellent food & service! Just cannot say enough wonderful things about experience! Enjoy it all! Great venue for weddings-reunions-birthdays and celebrations! Anytime you want to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown & corporate box places to eat. Woman owned and operated. Historic Chilton House. Close to gasoline and route 60. Great place to walk ur fur baby if ur traveling or have ur baby with u. The most unique & affordable dining you will have in WV! Thank You Alley & Angela for a great date night! The food here was outstanding. We have visited on numerous occasions and each meal was fresh and flavorful. Service has been great. The owner has always treated us and is very friendly.

Had a wonderful meal at Angela's on the River. Great view of the river and beautifully decorated for the holidays. Loved the crab stuffed whitefish. Service was excellent. And got to meet Angela and had a nice conversation with her.

Views of the river are beautiful, but, not nearly as beautiful, or delicious, as the food. We had the crab dip as an appetizer, she had the crab legs, I had the crab stuffed whitefish. All of it was cooked to perfection. If you go get the house dressing on the salad. You won't be disapointed.

Great family restaurant with flavorful dishes. Serving sizes are large, quality of ingredients is fresh too. You can book large party banquets too. Prices are very reasonable as well.
